Walking in Peace

Since his childhood, Alex has been passionate to help people. His original hopes were to be a medical doctor. However, in 1992, he felt a clear call from God to enter the local church ministry. In his 30+ years of church service Alex has cared for people of all ages while focusing on children and teens. His love for children compelled him to build into couples as parents and as spouses. It was this work with families that convinced him of the need for further education to better counsel with those in crisis. In order to fully attend to the hurts he was witnessing, Alex sought training from the Biblical Counseling department of Dallas Theological Seminary in Houston. However, it soon became obvious that God had a greater use for this education beyond church walls.

As a pastor, Alex has expertise with teens and children coupled with pastoral training in pre-marital and sustained marriage counseling. He knows that a person is not separate from their family, and, therefore, as a counselor, he maintains a strong family systems focus. As an individual, Alex thoroughly enjoys spending time with his family. He is a lover of sports and enjoys cooking.
